Jim Duffy manages the Transportation Fuels Branch at the Air Resources Board and oversees the Low Carbon Fuel Standard. Dr. Duffy holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University and a PhD in Water Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Between his undergraduate and graduate schooling, he served for six years as a nuclear engineering officer onboard the USS Georgia submarine and as a nuclear power plant instructor at the Naval Nuclear Prototype Training Facility in Idaho. After earning his PhD, he taught for eight years in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Montana State University.
