Danae leads the implementation of EDF´s climate initiatives in Mexico, with an emphasis on carbon pricing and reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation. Based in Mexico City she collaborates with government officials and partners at leading civil society organizations implementing capacity-building strategies.
Before joining EDF in 2010, Danae worked on forest and wildlife research and conservation policies. Danae has a degree on Biology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a Masters in Sustainable development by the University of Maryland.
