Andres Ramirez
Policy Director, Pacoima Beautiful

Andres Ramirez was born and raised in Southeast Los Angeles as the first generation child to Salvadoran immigrant parents. Ramirez has spent the last fifteen years organizing and movement building in every corner of the LA. He has led multiple advocacy and organizing efforts assuring that land use, transportation, housing, and environmental policies are developed and implemented equitably.

Ramirez is currently Policy Director with Pacoima Beautiful. He plans to help the robust LA Clean Energy coalition advocate for a Los Angeles to reach 100% clean energy future and that this transition prioritizes the frontline communities who have born the brunt health and economic impact of our fossil fuel usage. He also represents Pacoima Beautiful at the Metro Policy Advisory Council, Measure A Equity Alliance, ACT LA, LEAP LA, and as member of the Disadvantaged Communities Advisory Group. He believes state/local decision makers must invest to modernize and clean our energy consumption and this investment should prioritize low income communities of color such as Pacoima, Oakland, South Fresno, etc.
