Amber MacNeil
Senior Policy Advisor, Environment Climate Change Canada (ECCC)

Amber MacNeil is a Senior Policy Advisor at Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC). Working in ECCC’s Carbon Pricing Bureau, Amber is part of the team responsible for the design and implementation of the federal carbon pollution pricing system including the legislation and regulations enabling Canada’s system for large industry, the Output-Based Pricing System (OBPS). Amber has also worked with ECCC’s International Affairs Branch on the international climate change negotiations team. Prior to joining the Carbon Pricing Bureau, Amber worked in the Ontario Public Service on environmental, energy and natural resource policy files. Amber has a B.Sc.H. in Biology from Queen’s University and a M.Sc. in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics.
